At P+S, we love to highlight our amazing partners who share our values and help us positively impact the world. That’s why we’re excited to introduce you to FLIT, a new platform that’s making it easier for micro, nomadic, and mobile vendors in Austin to gain more recognition and visibility.
FLIT is an online platform serving as a visual locator that spotlights local, transient vendors in the Austin area and their locations via a map on their homepage in hopes to encourage supporting and shopping in our own communities. Plus, it refreshes daily to display what’s happening locally and comes with features so consumers can opt into notifications to track future events and locations of the vendors they care about – adding to the pop-up excitement.
FLIT is free to access and just an hourly rate for vendors to have their event info featured at its event time. Created by seasoned User Experience and Product Designer, Ana Peralta, FLIT aims to give these small businesses a boost of visibility and make it easier for you to find and support them.
Ana was inspired to create FLIT because she noticed many unique mobile vendors in Austin flying under the radar. She found it difficult to keep up with them and support them regularly. In her research, Ana found that many vendors struggle to maintain their digital presence on Instagram and lack the time and resources to do so effectively. That’s where Flit comes in.
We’re especially excited about FLIT’s mission because it aligns perfectly with our own commitment to sustainability and community building. By supporting local businesses and reducing waste, we can all make a difference in creating a more just and equitable world.
